If cutting your budget without letting go of your office service contractor is your end goal consider the following options.
Every facility and client is different as is the modus operandi of every janitorial service company. Since the janitorial companies base their rates on the time it takes to service an account the best thing to do is to revise the scope of work and change it to prioritize essential services.
- If floor cleaning, trash removal, restroom cleaning & break-room sanitizing must stay, consider a lower frequency per week, go from a 5 day service to a 3 or 2.
- Window cleaning, furnishing dusting and/or disinfecting can be assigned to each office or cubicle user. Most employees prefer this as their space is not disturbed at all.
- Another option is to have the cleaning company only service common areas and trash removal.
- One last option is to call for service as needed.
Most management in multi-suite buildings only provide cleaning to common areas, floors and trash removal. There is very little room to the time it takes to service that type of facility.
