What Does Concrete Coating Mean?
The covering, usually liquid or semi-liquid, that is applied to cured concrete for aesthetic purposes, to extend the life of the structure or surface, and to lower maintenance and repair expenses is known as concrete coating. For example, concrete walls and floors can be given a color and a smoother surface by applying an aesthetically pleasing and protective coating like paint, which also shields the material from abrasion, wear, corrosion, and harsh environmental conditions. For concrete floors, top coat options include acrylics, urethanes, paint, and epoxy, of which paint and epoxy are arguably the most well-known. Typically, a prepped and cleaned floor is used for painting.
Concrete Coating installation process
Step 1: Preparation
The secret is to prepare! To release its pores, the concrete must first be ground. We use a 700 lb diamond head concrete grinder to profile the surface. Small hand grinders are used to profile corners, edges, and hard-to-reach areas. Additionally, we have a 400 lb small grinder for areas with restricted access.
All grinders should be connected to HEPA-filtered vacuums to reduce dust.
Step 2: Making amends
Our 2-part liquid mender, winner of numerous awards, repairs all cracks and pits. The mender takes about 15 to 30 minutes to cure. The repaired areas will be re-ground to produce a porous surface after they have healed.
Step 3: Underlay
We mix and apply our 100% solid Polyurea basecoat in small batches. All verticals and edges are completed by hand.
Step 4: Sending Out the Chip
We perform a complete colored chip broadcast. We broadcast until we receive no response. This is the source of the floor’s texture and appearance. There is 100% UV stability in our color chips.
Step 5: Scraping The Chip
Once the chip and basecoat have cured, we scrape and vacuum off the excess chips. This is where we make sure there is even coverage throughout the floor.
Step 6: Top Coat
Roll and squeegee the two-part polyaspartic clear topcoat as the final step. This is the reason the floor is non-porous, UV stable, antibacterial, and antimicrobial.
Advantages of Concrete Coating
Durability
Unlike floor tiles, concrete coatings are extraordinarily durable and don’t chip or crack. High-quality coating materials, such as polyurea, are resistant to heat, chemicals, and hot tire peel. Garage Force uses a patented polyurea that is VOC compliant, UV stable, and 20 times stronger than epoxy. Think about selecting a floor that can withstand a variety of stresses whether it’s for your office, warehouse, patio, garage, or entryway. For any commercial space, a concrete coating is possibly the toughest option at a reasonable price.
Low Maintenance
A seamless finish created by a professionally applied coating keeps dust, bacteria, and pet dander out of the room. It’s also simple to clean!

Safety
Applying a non-slip coating solution to your unfinished concrete floor can make it less slick and more non-slip. Use it in your home’s high-traffic areas and give up worrying about small children or the elderly spilling something. To guarantee that your workplace conforms with OSHA regulations and provides safe footing in your work environment, use a high-quality non-slip coating, such as polyurea.
Beauty-Concrete Coating Installation
Concrete coating offers countless design options to accommodate any taste and style, which is one of its biggest advantages. Architects and interior designers value the maximum creative freedom provided by concrete coating solutions.
Concrete Coating Installation -Corporate Clean LLC
The careful preparation, selection, and application of the coating process are critical to the coating’s success. Epoxies, acrylics, vinyl esters, polyurethanes, polyureas, chlorinated rubbers, and elastomeric coatings are a few instances of coating processes. Be cautious when choosing a surface coating because many concrete coatings are unable to seal concrete cracks. Corporate Clean LLC offers the newest coating and sealing options.
